Gerade eben habe ich via iPod Feedback Formular eine Idee für ein iPod-Feature an Apple gesendet, welches ich in letzter Zeit häufig vermisst habe.
Hier der ungekürzte Text. In Engisch.
Imagine listening to a 1 hour podcast on your iPod on your way to work. They talk about a nice OS X application which does just that specific thing you wanted to do a day ago. Well, just now you cannot write the app’s name down or keep it in mind, because you have nothing to write with you and there’s a whole day of work on a boring Windows machine coming…
Back home in the evening, you either forgot the software’s name your heard about in the morning or you have to sit down and listen to the podcast again, manually skipping through it to find the part about the application. This could be all a lot easier, if you could just hit a button on your iPod to place a kind of a “bookmark” in the current podcast. For example by holding down the middle button on a iPod for 2 seconds would place the bookmark and confirm the action with a nice “bookmark”-sound. Back at home you connect your iPod to your Mac (or PC) and your bookmark will be synchronized just like all the other information. There could be a special indicator in iTunes, showing that there are new bookmarks. So you just found the name about the software you were looking for in a few seconds, rather than in minutes while having to skip through a whole podcast.
Man könnte es auch als erweiterte “On-the-Go”-Funktion betrachten…
