Kürzlich funktioniert das Trackpad meines MacBook Pros nicht mehr richtig. Dies zeigte sich dadurch, dass Klicken nicht mehr möglich war; wenn man jedoch neben dem Trackpad auf das Gehäuse drückte, wurde ein Klick ausgeführt… Nach kurzer Suche im Netz fand ich folgenden Beitrag im Apple Support Forum:

I think I may have solved this one. I had not noticed that My MacBook Pro battery had started to ‘bulge’ and it was obviously exerting pressure from underneath on the Pro’s mousepad causing the ‘no click’ mode. I removed the battery and am just using the power cable until my replacement arrives and this seems to have solved the problem completely.

Und ein anschliessender Blick unter mein MacBook Pro bestätigte, dass auch bei mir sich der Akku WIEDER aufgebläht hatte. Durch den Druck von der Unterseite her, wurde die Funktion des Trackpads gestört.

Aber im Gegensatz zum letzten Mal, als ich einen Ersatzakku von Apple beanspruchte, lief es dieses Mal schnell und unkompliziert: heute Anruf beim Apple Support, morgen Lieferung durch UPS. Und das ganze informativ abgedeckt durch 3 E-Mails von Apple über den aktuellen Status. Das war top!
